Let us fly you around Kenya’s absolute best, from the World’s Wildlife capital, to the untouched wilderness that is Meru National park – home to unrivalled diversity of animals, Northern Kenya’s wildlife rich hills and into the infamous Maasai Mara whose concentration of wildlife is unmatched!

This incredible 9 Days/8 Nights itinerary packs in Kenya’s best parks well known for large herds of elephants, conservation areas that will allow you to track the big cats on foot, search for the big 5 either in a 4×4 safari Landcruiser and the premier national reserve – the matchless Maasai Mara which will offer you an incredible opportunity to witness nature’s greatest journey here on earth. Whilst on safari if you are more adventurous may we kindly suggest taking a hot air balloon ride against a backdrop of stunningly beautiful sunrises, this will give you a bird’s eye view of the abundant wildlife below. Lastly, just as you prepare to return to the lodge after a full day of game viewing, fun, and adventure do not forget that you could always gather around and watch the African sun sink below the horizon with a Gin & Tonic in hand.

Day 1 -2: Nairobi and Meru National Park

Upon touchdown at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), our driver will collect you in our comfortable air- conditioned 6-seater vehicle and transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel.

The drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Hemingways Nairobi takes about 45 minutes. You will spend your first night at this luxurious 5* boutique hotel, located in Nairobi’s leafy suburbs – Karen. This lovely property overlooks the dramatic hills at Ngong, the rooms are superbly spacious each with a private balcony offering majestic views.

What to do in Nairobi

Before jumping onto safari destinations in Kenya, you may visit the visit the Nairobi National Park to get a glimpse of what an African safari would feel like. Whilst game viewing, you will encounter Impalas running around the open plains of the savanna, giraffes towering over acacia trees, and perhaps zebras stopping you along the way to a rare sighting of Africa’s black rhino.

You may also head onto the Giraffe Centre – where you will get a chance to meet, feed and kiss the Rothschild giraffe or a dash to David Sheldrick Wildlife Centre where you will meet the rescued Elephant calves and learn more about the conservation efforts. What’s more, you can visit any of the restaurants and feed your taste buds with scrumptious meals.

Day 2-4: Nairobi & Meru National Park

After breakfast at Hemingways, your driver will be waiting to transfer you to Wilson airport for your local flight into Meru National Park. The flight will take approximately 45 minutes directly from Wilson airport, Nairobi to Meru airstrip, after arrival your driver/guide will collect you and transfer you to Elsa’s Kopje where you are booked for 3 nights on full board.

Unashamedly romantic and beautifully styled, Elsa’s Kopje is sculpted into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original camp where he raised and released orphan lions, long before conservation became fashionable. Each cottage is crafted around the rocks, with a large bedroom, open sitting room, veranda and spacious bathroom, each with breathtaking views.

    • Visit the Rhino Sanctuary

    • Scenic sundowners in the bush (watch the African sun go down with a G&T in and)

Day 4-6: Meru National Park & Loisaba Conservancy

There is nothing quite like soaring to your next home, Loisaba tented camp is my very favorite in Northern Kenya, perfectly situated within a private conservancy (Loisaba Conservation area), and beautifully perched on the edge of an escarpment. Upon arrival at Lewa airstrip, you will be collected in a 4×4 safari Landcruiser and transferred to camp with a brief game drive en route.

What is included/What to do

    • Flight to Loisaba Conservancy

    • VIP welcome and briefing about Loisaba conservancy

    • Game drive en-route to Loisaba Tented Camp

    • All meals (lunch, dinner & breakfast)

    • Soft drinks, house wines, local beers & non-luxury spirits

    • Game drives within the conservancy

    • Sundowners (watch the African sun sink into the horizon with a G&T in hand)

    • Walking Safari with traditional Samburu guides

    • Dinner under the stars

Day 6-8: Loisaba Conservancy & Maasai Mara National Reserve

After filling your cup of adventure in Northern Kenya, you will be whisked away into the infamous Maasai Mara, home to the largest concentration of wildlife. This is where you will witness the greatest journey here on earth.

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be transferred to your lodge –Sand River camp with a short game drive en route. You will be in the perfect time for lunch, the chefs have prepared meals with you in mind. You will freshen up and may take a siesta as you await your afternoon game drive.

    • Picnic hamper lunch served in the bush

    • Masai village visit

Day 8: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

From the Maasai Mara, you will be flown back to Nairobi and a day room will be available at Hemingways where you can freshen up, have lunch as you prepare for your outbound flight.

This is an incredible 8 nights/ 9 days itinerary based on 2 or more people sharing accommodation. NB: A single supplement rate will be charged for any solo traveler;

    • Green season (1st April – 31st May 2023) – USD 8,500 Per person sharing for 8 nights

    • Mid-season (1st June – 30th June/ 1st Nov – 19th Dec 2023) – USD 9,725 Per person sharing for 9 nights

    • High season (1st Jul – 31st Oct/ 20th – 31st Dec 2023) – USD 10,245 Per person sharing for 9 nights
