Located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, Amboseli National Park is famous for its stunning landscapes, large herds of elephants, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. This 7-day safari allows you to fully immerse yourself in Amboseli’s diverse wildlife and awe-inspiring scenery. From close encounters with elephants to game drives against the scenic backdrop of Kilimanjaro, this safari offers a rich and unforgettable experience in one of Kenya’s most iconic national parks.

This morning, an experienced safari guide from Golden Reef Expeditions will collect you from either Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or a hotel in Nairobi. After a brief orientation regarding the upcoming activities, you will set off for Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival at your lodge or tented camp, which offers stunning visit of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will enjoy lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax at your convenience before embarking on a game-viewing drive in the park until sunset.
Experience the thrill of game viewing during both the morning and afternoon in the park, where you may enjoy unobstructed views of Africa's tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. This stunning landscape serves as a magnificent backdrop for herds of elephants, Cape buffalo, giraffes, and various species of plains game that inhabit the area. Among the big cats, lions are the most easily observed. The park is also home to a significant population of spotted hyenas, along with jackals, warthogs, olive baboons, and vervet monkeys. Ascend Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the entire park, particularly the swamps, which are bustling with activity from elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and a diverse array of water birds.
Depart Amboseli and head towards Lake Naivasha, enjoying lunch along the way. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari at Lake Naivasha, renowned as the highest lake in the Rift Valley. This excursion will provide opportunities to observe numerous large hippopotamuses and various bird species soaring above the water. It is also common to spot giraffes and zebras grazing along the lake's shores.
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at your hotel for check-in. Relax at leisure enjoying the hotel facilities. Following lunch, enter the park and embark on a game-viewing drive. Established as Kenya's first rhino sanctuary, Lake Nakuru National Park now hosts one of the largest black rhino concentrations in the country while substantial numbers of white rhinos have also been introduced. Other indigenous mammals seen in the park include the spotted hyena, lion (restocked), leopard, hippopotamus (in the north-eastern corner), rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, wildcat, golden cat, Bohor reedbuck, Defassa waterbuck (in high grasses bordering the shore) and Colobus monkey, Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhinos.
This morning, depart for Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Arrive and embark on a game-viewing drive en route to your safari lodge for lunch. Relax at leisure this afternoon before venturing to the reserve for another game-viewing drive.
Taking a packed picnic lunch box from the lodge with you, explore Masai Mara on a full-day game viewing drive. Masai Mara is regarded as one of the premier wildlife sanctuaries in Africa due to its abundant wildlife. A visit to the Mara almost guarantees visitors to see lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, Cape buffalo, and rhinos, as well as giraffes, hippos, hyenas, Nile crocodiles, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, and more. The yearly wildebeest migration (July to September) coming through the park is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife spectacles.
Today we'll bid farewell to the Masai Mara as we set out on a journey back to Nairobi. On arrival in Kenya's bustling capital city this afternoon, our safari guide will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or to your city hotel.
