A Fun Day Exploring Nairobi! Exploring Karen Blixen Museum Get ready for an exciting day as we pick you up early to visit the Karen Blixen Museum. This museum used to be the home of the writer of the book Out of Africa. You'll learn all about colonialism in Kenya during the twentieth century while exploring the farm where she used to live. Visiting David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage Next, we'll head to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage on the edge of the city. Here, you'll get to see elephants being rehabilitated without any riding or performances. You can watch them feed and play for an hour each day. You might even have the chance to adopt one of these amazing elephants! Exploring Giraffe Centre Kenya After a hearty local lunch, we'll visit the Giraffe Centre Kenya. This sanctuary is home to the endangered Rothschild giraffe, and the organization is working hard to rescue and breed them. You'll get to see these magnificent creatures up close and learn all about their conservation efforts. Visiting Kazuri Bead Centre Our last stop of the day will be the Kazuri Bead Centre, where you'll learn about how ceramic beads and pottery are made by socially excluded women. These women are empowered through this center, and you'll have the chance to purchase some of their beautiful jewelry and homeware. It's a great way to support these talented women! After a full day of exploring Nairobi, we'll take you back to your hotel or residence. What a fun and educational day it has been!
